Man convicted of a sexual assault offense faces new charges

A man who is on New Jersey's lifetime sex offender supervision has recently been arrested for supposedly violating the terms of his supervision. The man was previously convicted of a sexual assault offense of a child. The New Jersey man now faces charges for allegedly violating his supervision terms by using social media websites.

According to the report, the man was placed under lifetime supervision for a crime involving a ten-year-old girl in 2002. The man was convicted of aggravated sexual assault for supposedly having sexual contact with the child, and he was subsequently placed on the New Jersey State Police Sex Offender Registry. Under the terms of his lifetime supervision, he was not allowed to use the Internet in order to access social media websites.

The man, a driver for a Secaucus driving company, is accused of having several social media accounts, but the report does not state which websites he allegedly had accounts on. Police claim that the man was using the usernames TGil, Thad Gi and Tgil3036. The man was arrested earlier this week, and he is currently in custody on a $25,000 bail.

If the man is convicted of violating the terms of his lifetime supervision, since he had previously been convicted of a sexual assault offense, he could face jail time. Although, it is important to remember that, regardless of the crime, all accused New Jersey persons have the right to a fair and unbiased trial. All persons facing sex crime accusations are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
