Property embroiled in Michael Moore divorce

In entertainment news that is attracting the attention of fans in New Jersey and across the nation, Michael Moore is calling in some high-profile agents to aid him in his divorce. The director has enlisted the assistance of his literary agent and the William Morris Endeavor Chief, both of whom will testify at witnesses.

The court will decide on the division of tens of millions of dollars accrued while the media mogul was married to his wife, the producer of some of his documentaries. The testifying pair plan to talk about how much money the filmmaker earned, his contributions to the media and how his wife reportedly wasted large sums of money by building a large home on a Michigan lake.

After Moore expressed his support for the Occupy Wall Street movement in 2011, some media writers labeled him a hypocrite because the mansion was supposedly valued at $2 million. Other news stories allegedly poked fun of his involvement in the movement due to his contrasting wealth. Court documents in the case reportedly include almost 300 exhibits. The couple, who was married for 23 years, owns a total of nine properties including the mansion and an upscale Manhattan condo.

When a couple attempts to divide property during a divorce, they might struggle with the logistics of how to work out their differences, especially if significant assets are involved. A family attorney might be able to help a client negotiate a divorce settlement that includes equitable property division for the involved parties.
